RASSP Advanced Reuse System

TECHNICAL OBJECTIVE
  • Apply advanced reuse methodologies and technologies to applications with high cost take out potential for aerospace electronics
  • Prototype innovative knowledge sharing, OO, and distribution technologies to demonstrate key aspects of the core reuse technology

BENEFITS
  • High ROI demonstrated through focused applications; Space Communications Payload Center of Excellence
  • Significant gains in productivity and quality ensured through application of methodology and technology
REUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  • Single interface for user searches in a fully distributed, cooperative, and heterogeneous environment
  • Manage descriptive data and design objects in various formats
  • Enable sophisticated customization and extension of the class hierarchy and definitions
  • Search multiple information views and complex relationships, structured and semi-structured source data
  • Standards based mechanism for interoperability between the library management system and external tools
  • Support tightly-coupled and loosely-coupled federation paradigms
  • Manage multiple permutations and/or revisions of individual design elements
  • Enable incremental integration of diverse autonomously developed information without requiring data migration.

APPROACH

  • Develop demonstration application; design for/with reuse methodology and processes class hierarchy
  • Build an initial tool base with:
