TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES
  • Define opportunities and methods to introduce DFT into all life cycle phases of a DSP project
  • Reduce project life cycle cost by 20% by DFT inclusion
  • Support DFT introduction by providing training in methodology and specific tool usage I
  • ntegrate commercial tools for DFT into project workflow definitions to obtain advantages of cost/time reductions promoted by DFT

RESULTS
  • Effectiveness of DFT Tools demonstrated during application to BM projects
    • BM2: Early high level DFT entry, architecture tradeoffs Later verified by design engineers
    • BM3: DFT requirements, STP, test architecture, and TSDs developed and applied to Shadow Program
  • Generation of Reuse Elements which reduce LCC (Template Procedures)
  • Publication of Methodology and its enablers
    • Templates, reusable testbench, and components published in LM EPI Internal Web Site
    • DFT Training developed and available
    • Formal documentation of D DFTFT topics and results - 2Q97

  • RASSP DFT Methodology affects cost/time improvements for their products >2X savings in test
  • Integrated tools minimizes disjoint test/ validation
