TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES
  • Provide automatic code generation for signal processing defined by PGM graphs and a supporting Run-Time System

BENEFITS
  • Eliminates hand generation of algorithmic code for signal processing
  • SW generation tightly coupled with architecture selection and verification
  • Static Run-Time System (RTS) provides graph management, multiprocessor communication, and interface to command program
  • Software maintained at the graph level
  • Supports Reuse with Model Year upgrades

STATUS
  • Initial Autocode Tools and RTS - Complete
  • Commercial release (MCOS version) - Available
  • Sharc/Myrinet version for BM 3 FPCAP - 3Q97
    • Static RTS port to multiprocessor SPOX OS
    • HPSC/Myrinet architecture
RELATED EFFORTS
  • Graph Translation Tool (GrTT) : RASSP BAA
  • PGM workstation with autocoding tools: SBIR selected for Phase II under fast track program
  • Dynamic Run-Time System: SBIR in review (candidate for FY97)

RASSP autocoding tools demonstrated 10X improvement in development
time and 5X in test time for the SAR benchmark application
