Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories (ATL) is the Corporation's advanced-computing, applied research and development facility. We coalesce and transition innovation and domain expertise into operational applications for Lockheed Martin and the defense and government sectors. We push technology envelopes in advanced concepts, artificial intelligence, distributed processing, and embedded processing

We want to remain a provider of choice to Lockheed Martin and Department of Defense for advanced Information Technology and related applied research and development services. We will continue to offer our customers revolutionary technologies for real-world challenges.

Our History:

We have more than 75 years on the frontline of applied research and development, from pioneering the fundamentals of television in the 1930s and 1940s to creating polymorphous computing architectures and autonomous/collaborative unmanned systems today. We have a legacy of cultivating technologies that make possible some of the most sophisticated systems worldwide. We are an unparalleled resource of advanced-computing technology and software development, demonstration, and transition. Here's a brief overview of our legacy of technological innovation and success.

Our Organization:

Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories (ATL) is the Corporation's advanced-computing, applied research and development facility. We report to the Corporation through the Electronic Systems business area—one of four business areas that comprise the Corporation.

We employ 220 personnel, of whom 80 percent are engineering professionals with advanced degrees in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, and psychology.
